Business Development Manager – Cladding

We are now seeking a commercially focused Business Development Manager – Cladding Products to take ownership of the North West region of Melbourne, based from Somerton.
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident sales performer who understands the construction market, enjoys being out on the road and knows how to position quality cladding solutions with residential, multi-residential and commercial customers.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth for the company’s cladding product range across Melbourne’s North West corridor based out of Somerton.
You will build strong relationships with builders, contractors, developers, architects and key construction stakeholders, identifying project opportunities early and positioning the business as a trusted cladding supply partner.
This role combines new business development, account management and project sales, making it ideal for someone who enjoys technical product conversations, building long-term client relationships and winning work in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
· Drive new business sales across the company’s cladding product range
· Develop relationships with residential, multi-residential and commercial builders
· Build strong connections with contractors, developers, architects and construction stakeholders
· Identify cladding project opportunities early and position the business as a preferred supplier
· Grow and manage key accounts across the North West Melbourne region
· Provide product advice and support around cladding solutions, applications and project requirements
· Lead pricing discussions, proposals, tenders and commercial negotiations
· Maintain a strong sales pipeline and accurate forecasting through CRM systems
· Monitor market activity, competitor movements and upcoming construction projects
· Represent the business professionally at site meetings, client appointments and industry events
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
· Proven business development or sales experience within cladding, building materials, construction products or trade supply
· Direct experience selling cladding products will be highly regarded
· Strong understanding of residential, multi-residential or commercial construction markets
· Existing relationships with builders, contractors, developers or façade/cladding installers would be advantageous
· A track record of winning new business and growing territory revenue
· Confidence discussing product features, applications, pricing and project requirements
· Excellent relationship-building, communication and negotiation skills
· A proactive, self-motivated and results-driven approach
· Strong commercial awareness and the ability to identify and convert opportunities
· Willingness to be on the road across the North West Melbourne region
