Warehouse DC Supervisor

ABOUT THE ROLE:
Reporting to the DC Operations Manager, you will create a positive environment while being responsible for the supervision of 6 dedicated warehouse DC operators, with a focus on customer service, freight and transport activities, time management ensuring delivery deadlines are met and all warehouse activities and safety aspects are adhered to.
A key requirement is to lead a continuous improvement mindset and standardised approach to ensure effective receipting, picking, packing, dispatch of the products is completed at a high standard whilst delivering service excellence to customers by managing DIFOT (Delivered In Full, On Time).
Flexible hours working a 7.6hr day between 6.00am to 4.00pm.
KEY DUTIES:
This role will drive performance improvements and accountability by creating robust SOP’s, KPI’s and reporting, driving continuous improvement across the Operations Team.
- Lead Safety performance – Zero Harm,
- Facilitate the planning and coordination of incoming and outgoing products,
- Develop clear processes managing discrepancies,
- Facilitate the planning and coordination of stock control, warehouse administration processes ensuring replenishment of stock in the right place, right time,
- Oversee and manage cycle counts and annual stock takes,
- Manage site inventory levels liaising with Supply Chain optimising storage capacity,
- Coach, mentor and develop team members to achieve business objectives,
- Celebrate team and individual achievement and success, maintaining a positive work environment,
- Challenge existing processes, instigate improvements to recognise safety, cost, service and quality performance improvements,
- Ensure compliance with legislation and statutory regulations.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in this role you will have:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience within a Leadership role, Warehouse / Logistics environment,
- Understand the benefit of working together as a team, with excellent interpersonal skills able to communicate with people on all levels,
- Management of transport suppliers including negotiation,
- Strong and proven ability to lead, direct employees,
- Experience and knowledge in inventory management, warehousing and distribution,
- Experience working with an ERP package,
- Sound working knowledge of WH&S requirements,
- Excellent organisation, time-management skills,
- Ability to meet deadlines,
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal,
- Ability to problem solve, make sound decisions,
- Certificate III Warehousing Operations.
